Daddy's Girl
My father had two torn rotator cuffs in his shoulders. Because of other medical concerns, he was told he was not a candidate for surgery. He suffered for more than 10 years as his shoulders continued to deteriorate and became more and more painful. As a farmer he was losing his ability to get his work done and as an avid hunter he had already lost the ability to do what he enjoyed. He had not been able to sleep in a bed for more than two years because the pain was intolerable. He could no longer lift his left arm without holding it up with his right arm. I took dad to CoreMedical in Pittston where he met with Dr. Gehin and found out that he was a candidate for stem cell therapy. He was surprised to find out that he could actually get the procedure done that very same day! He said the injections didn't hurt at all and when he walked out of the doctor's office, he was able to lift both arms up without any pain or assistance. I was totally shocked! I had not seen him do that in years. Dr. Gehin explained that dad will continue to improve and his rotator cuffs will continue to heal over the coming months. For the first time in years, dad is smiling again because he isn't in that constant pain and he can see and feel the improvements that the stem cells are making. Dad is so excited about the success he has had with stem cell therapy that he plans to get additional stem cell treatments in the near future for other affected joints. Dr. Gehin at Wyoming Valley Spine & Nerve Institute really helped my mom. After having decompression therapy she feels so much better, gets around better and enjoys her quality of life again. She has actually been outside this week staining the deck because SHE CAN. Mom and Dad are both smiling again because mom is feeling so good.
